keeping a dairy

     Are you keeping a dairy now,or have you done this before?
     Recently, I have been curious about how can dairy be benefited for me. The last time I wrote the dairy, I was still a elementary student, and I was writing this merely for homework. Therefore, the thing come out of my mind about keeping dairy is how naïve it is.
     Currently, I have read several dairy of some famous people, and I am aware of that journaling is not that useless. First of all, it could help me to store my memory. Some people used to memory by photographing. As my opinion, remember what happened by your own describing is much more vivid and impressed. Secondly, keeping journals could enhance your language skills. Beside English, it also improve my native language skill to some extent.
     There is one difficult when I am keeping the dairy. I don't know what should I tell my dairy book. I always worried about will the story be too boring or too awkward when I read it in the future? I wish I could get through it and be benefited from it someday.

The importance of reading

    Reading, as a major part of language course, benefit not merely vocab but also various aspects of our life. As Herzen said,"Not to read， there is no real education， but also impossible to have what good taste。"But some people suggest literature is nothing but words,the only thing we have to do before starting business is learn the technical knowledge for future career.However, I would like to argue with them by following statements.
    The more books we read, the higher value we have. It's no exaggeration to say that books can affect our value by providing opinions with convincible sentences.Take my aunt for example, she was totally changed her mind sin she read "Pride and Prejudice",she decide to be independent, to develop her career without apprehension.To hold right value is as necessary to life as bread. These "bread", mostly come from the books,since the books offer different types which contain different ideas and opinions,from science fiction to autobiography, is unmatched by other literature format.Ont the other hand,even if a person master the technical knowledge,he or she would be refused by company due to the superficial knowledge.
    Also,people can recognize and understand other culture even history by reading the original novels.The ironic novel reflect dark side of government;The science fiction suggest what local people interest in at that time.Reading is the most convenient method to "travel" around world.
   Above all,it is obviously that reading is always benefit our life.The opinion that wants to remove reading from college is extremely ridiculous and preposterous.They(students who support this idea) are only thinking about how to cancel the lesson, which they have gotten low score, but not trying to improve themselves,unfortunately,this sorrowful thinking in Chinese teenagers is prevalent.

Movie Time

Last Friday,when I finished my school,I went to watch a outdoor movie in a primary school. It was 7 o'clock at afternoon. When we went there, the weather was so cold. Although I worn jacket, but I still felt very cold. We bought tickets and walked into the playground with flooding chairs. There were more than 100 people take their children sit on the underground. I bought some popcorn and a bottle of water, then I sat down. After 10 minutes, the movie was start. The movie's name was "Paddington Bear". The screen was very big so everyone can saw and heard the movie clearly. It was so cold outside so I put my hand in the sleeve to eat popcorn. I have never drank water because it felt like extremely cold ice piece. After an hour, my legs were frozen and I lost consciousness. Fortunately, my uncle took a carpet for me. So I didn't' freeze anymore. When the movie was over, we packed the folding chairs very soon. It was so cold, but we still had a good time. Many children went back to their cars with their parents. I had notice it was 9 o'clock, I just wished to lay in my bed.                                                              G

learning sewing machine

In Korea, one of my dreams was learning how to sew by using a sewing machine. Since I love to wear various clothes, making clothes sounded very attractive; it was fantasy for me. However, It was not easy to get a chance to learn it because most Korean students are not allowed to have much free time. It doesn't mean I studied all day, but still almost everyone focused on just studying. Luckily, I came to America and got a chance to learn how to use a sewing machine. I got the my own sewing machine for the first time in my life.  Fortunately,  my guardian's friend came to our house and taught me how to use the machine.. I learned many basic skills  and the names of the parts of the sewing machine.. I also learned how to measure my body to make a skirt and what to be prepared for creating a skirt. I was so happy to learn this, and it was really fun. I want to practice more and more, so I can make many clothes that I can enjoy wearing them.wear. Someday, I will wear the clothes I make and go to my school. Then, please judge how they look! I am so excited to do this and cannot wait making clothes. I think this is very useful experience, and what I learned will be a useful skill for all my life. I strongly recommend all of you in this class to try learning how to sew.

Cultural difference in foods

 When I went to a Vietnamese restaurant with my friends, I noticed that some kids weren't able to use chopsticks. All the kids from western Asian countries were able to use chopsticks very easily. However, all of my friends are not from these countries. They were using chopsticks like forks, and this looked so funny to me. I haven't seen any of my friends in Korea who are not used to chopsticks.
 This made me think about some cultural differences in eating food. The way people eat are not the same around the world. Some use chopsticks, and some use spoons or hands. It depends on their culture. The way they eat depends on what they are eating. For Asian countries, such as Korea or China, they use chopsticks, because they eat a lot of noodles. On the other hand, western countries in Europe or the United States prefer to use forks. It is because they wanted to eat food as simple as possible.
 After thinking about the difference, It became a serious problem to know how they eat in their culture. Nobody wants to make mistakes at a friend's family dinner table. When We finished our meal, I really wanted to learn the culture of my friends. It seamed like a interesting thing to study about in the future.

Love and money

 The Gift of the Magi is a short story wrote by O.Henry. I have read it many times but every time I like to read it slowly and deliberately. This story tells us that a very poor but blissful young couple named Jim and Della in the end of 18th century in England exchanged gifts by sold the most precious thing of each,but the two precious gifts all became useless things. While they got the most precious thing than any material objects——love.

  After reading this story , I learned how to respect others love and how to love others. In this story ,they all lost the most valuable things——Jim’s golden watch and Della’s beautiful hair. But they get more important things. That is love each other.

     In this materialistic society, people often use money to  measure gifts.  But in this story, the gift is priceless. It is possible that one word one greeting, honest and simple. In some sense, they are invaluable.                

Love has nothing to do with money, possession or status. It's consideration, tolerance and respect. It's giving one's best to the other even it means sacrifice.From" The Gift of the Magi", from Jim and Della, I have learned a lot about love, life and hope.

My Favourite Plant.

 Bamboo

Bamboo is common kind of grass, and there are about 1450 species growing in various climates, such as the cold mountain climate and the tropical climate.There are many usages of bamboo, such as using bamboo to make utensils, to cook food, and to build houses.

People often use bamboo to make utensils in their life. Bamboo is used to make many different kinds of utensils, such as bamboo cups, chopsticks, bowls, and spoons. Bamboo is quite strong in material, thus making endurable and high quality utensils that are loved by many people. In addition, bamboo products also release a faint fragrance without the usage of any chemicals. Therefore, it is safe to be used by both elders and babies. Even more, the faint fragrance and the classic feeling can calm people down when these bamboo utensils are being used. In addition, bamboo is also commonly used as cookware. In conclusion, using bamboo to make utensils is comparatively safe, healthy, and comfortable.

   Bamboo is not only commonly used in the utensil and cookware industry, it is also commonly used as building materials in Southern and Eastern Asia, and South Pacific. There are two main reasons why bamboo is so popular in the building industry in the above areas. One of the two main reasons is that bamboo grows in the rainforest climate and has an excellent water resistance quality, thus not easy to break in humid weather conditions. For example, bamboo houses are extremely popular in southern China. Because of the constant rainy weather, the buildings in southern China require excellent water resistance and stable materials. Therefore, bamboo’s water resistance quality makes it a perfect choice for the building industry in southern China. This advantage is shown even better in inclement weather conditions, such as flooding. During a flood, the houses constructed by bamboo would not be destroyed easily. Another main reason why bamboo is a common building material is that bamboo is a common plant in these areas. Because of the heavy rainfall in southern China, bamboo grows quickly and becomes the one of the main plants in southern China.

In conclusion, bamboo is used in not only the utensil, cookware and building industries for its practical usages, but also in the decoration industry for its rich cultural and symbolic meaning. Therefore, bamboo is closely related to many aspects of people’s everyday life. And bamboo can be titled as the one of the most common and useful kinds of grass in the world.

world become old

  Last week I saw a news from a website said that people will retire till 65 years old in China and Americans will be retire at 70. And the reason of make people retire more and more late is that the government can not pay the social insurance's money for the increasing population, some experts even said people shouldn't have 30 years social insurance.They said as people improve the medical technology, people can live longer so they should work longer of course.
  Then I came up with a absurd idea: I graduate from the university when I'm about 25, My father is still working in a company will a group of old men as the same age with him as well as other people.There children will drive them to work, then come back home and do the housework, look at the stock and have some tea as well, cook in the afternoon and go pick up their parents. It's a terrible idea. Is that necessary for the old to work until 65? As we know that the graduated students were hard to find a job for them, if the old people still working, it will be more harder for young people to have a job.
  Old people had already worked for half of their lives, young people is just on time for them to work. Give the old some places and let the young people show themselves. That should be the right role for people.

Season

   Autumn is my favourite season because it is neither cold nor hot. It is sunny sometimes. Leaves come down in autumn, and change to pretty colors. Farmers are working hard in the farms for the harvest with delight. I enjoy     myself walking around the golden country field in China.

   And another reason I like autumn is because my birthday is in October. Today was my fifteenth birthday and I had a lot of fun with my guardian and my friends.We ate dinner together,and had a big birthday cake which was  so delicious and sweet. And I was talking to my parents on wechat, and they gave me some wishes and they gave me some money for a gift. It is my first time to have my birthday in the US. I think it was fantastic!

   Soon winter will be coming. I hate the cold weather but I really like snow. I’m looking forward to experiencing American Christmas because there are Christmas trees, gifts and Santa Claus.

The suicider

       One day morning. In the unfinished building area, one man stands on the high building's roof. He looks like to be so negative energy and unconfident. When he is walking to the building's roof's margin, he moans," I will be free, I mustn't be alive in this world. I am loser!"

The man's name is Tom. He has a normal teenager's face. Before, he had a beautiful girlfriend. But they were not enjoy long time, and they always had a quarrel. They almost just like normal friends. At last, the woman declared to him," You cannot make me joyful, and you look like the worst loser! Stop being together please!" Then Tom lost his job, and he drink wine everyday. After, he almost spent his all money and his valuable time.

Now, he just wants to be dead. He already arrived this building's roof's margin. He closes eyes and ready to jump.

"Stop! Stop! Don't jump!" The sudden voice, "Child! Please come down!" 

Tom turns round. He watches this old man and cries," why? I already lost everything. I am loser. No one can save me! No one can help me!" 

"Kid, you are so young, you can have better future." The old man insists," If you are died, your family and friends must be broke-hearted!"

"I don't have family and friend!" Tom thunders." I can be your friend! I am Jerry, 61 years old. I can give the best job for you." Jerry consoles. 

"Are you seriously?" Tom asks,"I can get the job?"

"Yes, you can! And you will find more cute and friendly friends than before. My friend." Jerry smile. 

"Wow! I have job! I have friend! Thank you very much, my friend, Jerry!" Tom is too happy.

After long times, Tom has confident with everything. He has a IT company by himself, and he has happiness family. And Jerry also help other people.

Leon

My favorite movie is Leon. Leon is a killer. Mathilda is a girl who doesn't have parents anymore, because her parents are selling drugs, and being killed by someone. This movie is talking about the love between the little girl and the lonely man, He became to be her "father". I love the dialogue in the film, Mathilda: Is life always this hard, or is it just when you're a kid? Leon: Always like this. A person can changed another person. They all need love. My favorite scene in this film is the first time they met each other at the corridor. The shot shows me the stairs from the deep to high, slowly and soft. That makes me feel she is lonely. The most important thing in the movie is emotions. Every movie has the different type of love. The good movie makes people think about our own life, be resonant to audience. Love is in everyone's heart. So people love to watch films, they are looking at themselves.  

Happiness

          My friend used to ask me what does happiness means. I can't give her the exact definition of it at that time, but I told her if people love and help others, they'll get it.

         I'll never forget an old lady. She lives in a small house by herself alone. People said her husband and her son died in a traffic accident. How bitter her life is! But the old lady often helps others with smiles. Whenever it snows, she is always the first one who cleans the paths. She sometimes looks after several children living nearby. My friend used to be the one of them. I can always remember the stories she told us and her kind smile. Perhaps she is unlucky, but she is a happy. Her life is full of laughter and love.

        However, some people are getting their happiness in bad ways. They speak loudly in cinemas and meeting rooms; they destroy whatever the thing they don't like and laugh at others' shortcomings. Maybe they were happy at that time, but they will never get true happiness because they have lost their personality.

       Now I am pretty sure what happiness is. It means kindness, love and unselfishness. Now we are living in the planet that is full of love and hopes, so why don't we start to love each other and gain more real "happinesses"?

Bake sale for refugees

Last Friday, Yael, Camille, and I did the bake sale at the school during lunch time and ET. It was a huge success. We made $252 for this sale. When we planned this bake sale, our goal was about $100. I had not expected this much support from the students and the teachers. Many people also donated money for the refugees.
One day, Yael suggested me to do bake sale in the school for the refugees from Syria. I was so impressed by her thought. I think she is very warm-hearted person, and I am thankful to meet her in this school. I accepted her suggest right away and told my guardian. Because my guardian loves to bake, she gladly decided to help us. Yael and I gathered more people to join us, Camille and Jean. All of them came to my home on Thursday and baked brownies and cookies together. Camille made brownies and cookies for vegan, too. I made brownies that I had baked for the ESL class before. This brownie was better than before because It didn't turn out hard like the one last time. It was very soft. We spent many hours for baking and had a great time. I had so much fun during baking with my friends. At lunch time, many students lined up to buy our brownies and cookies. Pete said this brownie was much better than the last brownies. Janis also said this brownie was very delicious. I was so thankful to everyone. The original purpose of this event was refugee problem, so I watched the video about the refugees with the unbelievable hardship. I hope our small effort could help the refugees.

Lucas is good at fishing

   Fishing is one of my favorite outside activities even I have merely try this for several times since my homestay family had bring me to some fantastic fishing places recently. Many of my friends always yell that fishing is so boring and exhausting. But I don't feel that at all even I lack experiment or it could be the reason that I can learn more interesting stuffs from it.
   I have try many new thing during fishing. Including my first time to put the blood warm to the hook. The warms are freaking disgusting when I touch them. And the body could still moving softy and slowly even it already be cut. The blood keep coming out when I stick in on the hook. I thing I really should stop describe it. And there is one thing I am very proud of is that none of my housemates would like to do it since it is disgusting.
    Beside putting the baits I realize that I also have gift at throwing the hooks. I can make the bait fly to almost the opposite of the land which is absolutely twice times more than Pete did. But that really don't make me to catch a bigger fish, all of fishes I have got are baby fishes and can not be brought to home.
    Anyway the fishing is lot of fun to me and I am so thankful for that my homestay always bring us to play around!

Travel

Last summer vacation，my family and I went to Qingdao by train.That my first time   to take a train. There was always sunshine and fresh air，which made us so comfortable.We went to the seaside，the sea was as blue as the sky，and bathing in the sunshine on the beach，was really an enjoyable thing.I also picked up a lot of colorful shells with my cousin.There we bought many interesting souvenirs，I was planing to send them to my friends.We ate many tings there，such as fish，prawn，and so on.They are very delicious.Then we lived in a clean and tidy hotel，and the price was not so expensive.I like Qingdao very much，and if I got a chance，I hope to come here again，it is such a beautiful and interesting place.

Computers influence the pace of our life

 During the last century, people have set a fabulous mind-blowing rate for the development of advanced technologies.  New products have been conceived at every moment, all of which will impact people in some aspects.

 However,in all these technology and products,computers have been the most important influence on human beings. some people asserted that computers have made life more conditionally stressful, while some people believe that computers have made life easier and more convenient. in my opinion, the superiority of computer is a guidance and has become a necessary part in people lives.

 Perhaps computers may quicken the modern pace of life. With the development of computers, practically, numerous occupations require people to be well up in computer operation. Anyone, who intends to find a good job, is necessary to learn on using computer since the computer projects generally contain considerate and technical content, and people here also must be experience on operating computer with taking time to practice.

 On the other hand, computers develop pretty rapidly that people must study new technological capabilities spontaneously. Those requirements all make people feel stressful. even though there may be several disadvantages to develop computers, the advantages still overwhelmingly  outweigh them. The key position for my penchant of computer is that computers can help  people do much more things than it was expected, including some complex computation, storing and  information engagement and some work that is risky for people to do. For instance, launch a rocket up to outer space needs complex computation that people are not capable of without computers; search the newest information and send e-mails to communicate with others are of vital importance for business, which represent people will not be succeed in business without computers.

 Besides, computers have facilitated many of our working process and we have already grown dependent on them. Another merit of computer is that people can utilize them for entertainment in spare time. From pc games to online chatting, computers have the ability to entertain us in variety of ways. After a busy day, playing video games is the favorite thing for most of my friends.

 Also in today's life, numerous young people doesn’t necessarily possess television for entertainment or spending time on those program, but a computer is very required to possess for any individual since computer is suitably functional and moreover it’s capable to replace a large quantity of older ways to abuse time. Now many films display fascinating images by using computers. In a word, in spite of the fact that computer appears to have made life more diverting and predominant,undoubtedly,computers have become an integral part of our daily life.

Super Son-day

 Last Sunday morning, I watched a soccer game between Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace. I usually don't prefer watching the English premier league, because the game usually turns out to be boring after the first-half. However, a Korean player named Son Heung-min was on the squad. I had a feeling that he was going to score a goal.
 Son Heung-min scored the final goal against Crystal Palace. It was his third official game for the Spurs. He had a terrible debut game against Sunderland. I think he had the pressure from the fans, that he had to show his skills on the first game. Most of his fans had an opinion that the team over payed for him. However, he became the most popular player after the game. One goal was enough for him to make the fans cheer rather than booing.
 Unfortunately, he got an injury after the game. Because the fans won't be able to see their star player for a month, they are now depressed. I wish Son recovers well, and has his next Super Son-day. He also gives energy to the Korean soccer fans to go to work on Monday, after watching the game he scores.

The Great Gatsby

Recently I read The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, in which the heroine Daisy my attention and put me deep in thought.

 Daisy Buchanan, a beautiful, young, rich woman,which was Nick’s cousin, Tom’s wife.But the most important thing is that she is Gatsby’s lover. The story takes place in the 1920s in New York City and long Island .Daisy was born on a wealthy family, whereas Gatsby comes from a family which is low and poor, both his parents are shiftless and unsuccessful farmer. The young Gatsby is smart, and has a brown, strong body . He fell in love with Daisy, but not for long, as the result of the First World War, they were separated. Finally, because of the money, she was married to Tom, a cruel, supercilious manner. Daisy married life is not happy, because Tom had mistress. The satisfaction of material does not fill Daisy spiritual emptiness.

 Several years later, Gatsby came back, and carried a lot of money. He cannot stop loving Daisy. He across the Daisy's house to build a building, and want to attract attention to her. When Daisy knew, she agreed, and they composite soon, but unfortunately, Daisy is changed, she just take this relationship as a stimulus. In one time, Daisy drive the car, run the husband's mistress called Myrtle. In order to protect Daisy, Gatsby undertake for the accident, but Daisy has abandoned Gatsby. Because of the tom, Myrtle's husband shot and killed Gatsby. At last, Gatsby became a victim. Until his death, Gatsby didn't find Daisy's mocking smile on her face. People held the funeral for Gatsby, but at that time, Daisy and her husband had have a trip in Europe

  To sum up, Selfish and cruel is the nature of Daisy, and overbearing emphasis on money, at the end of the story, this all lead to her own destruction. Though unlike Gatsby's physical destruction, Daisy's is one of a mental and spiritual kind. 

My arm

     "Pete, hurry up! We need hand in the homework before next class starts! Only 5 minuets!" My friend said.

     "I am coming, Do we need go to downstairs?" I was asking.

     "Yes! Hurry up!" My friend told me.

     Then we brought our homework to run to the stairs.

     "Oh!" My left feet didn't tread the stair and I fell down from stairs. I tried to make my head clearly and hold my left arm that felt so hurt. When I leaned on the wall, I felt my left arm cannot move a lot, but my left hand was okay. 

     "Come here, Pete. I hold you to teacher's office," My friend cared me.

     "Th...anks," I tried to open my mouse.

     "Ding! Ding! Ding!" Next class was started.

      I arrived office. "Are you okay, Pete?" my teacher asked me," I will pick you up to the hospital! Don't be worry." Then she got off her right shoes, and she took four hundred yuan (yuan is Chinese money) from her sock. "Okay, let's go." She took on her shoes.
     In the taxi, my teacher's face looked so bad.I leaned her and tried to sleep. Then she called my mom.
     "Hi, this is Pete's teacher. Mrs.Gao. Your son has some problem for his left arm. Please......." I didn't hear what they said, because I already slept.
     When I waked up, we arrived hospital. And I saw my mom stood front gate. She looked so hurry. I tried to make smile on my face that likes my arm doesn't have big problem. When I came up to her. She changed her face, she looked so angry.
     "I told you before! Be careful! Be careful! But why do you not listen to me. If you were careful, you wouldn't be now!" my mom were so angry," Let's go to check your arm." Then my mom and Mrs.Gao cared me to check body for one and half hour.
     "Your arm is broken, I will bandaged your left arm. Don't worry about your arm. You should do a few exercise. Don't shake you left arm so much. And be careful in the future!" The doctor told me.
     "How long do I need have a rest?" I worried and asked the doctor.
     "About 3 month," The doctor said.
     When I came back to school. Mrs.Gao told to my classmates,"Pete's arm is broken, pleases everybody takes care of Pete. Because he cannot move a lot his left arm."
     In this 3 month, my classmates helped me many things. They helped me to get lunch from lunch room, they did the cleaner that I would do, and they told to my P.E teacher that I am sick.
     Three month latter, my mom invited Mrs.Gao to eat dinner together. And my mom thanked her a lot.
     

       

Trip in the museum

    Honestly speaking,I don't like museums at the first time my parents take me to there and I don't know what is interesting in it. My mom said I should go to the museum when you got to a new place. As the result,  I was force to go with her as the first time she got to Washington DC.

    The first twenty minute are super boring, I just few like it's wasting of time and my mom kept talk to me that things she though was interesting. After she has watch for all the exhibit,I suggest I'd like to go by myself. When my mom left, I begin stroll around and trying to find something interesting.In the next hour,I saw transportation in ancient time,people's clothing,electricity's development and so on.The introduction of the exhibit attract me so much.
    We come out after 4 o'clock in the afternoon ,"It's has so much fun in the museum" I said,"I never thought there has so much things to do." We get most knowledge from books and teachers,but we can know things from other places as well.It's fun to get knowledge from out of class.

A Bear Family

          Once upon a time, there is a wooden house in the forest.  A strong bear Mark fall in loved with the pretty bear Mary, and their had a lovely baby girl May, One year, they had new baby Tony. A young bear Tony is the new baby of this family. His older sister is being jealous of him, because their parents take care of the new baby too much. She started say some bad word to her parents, she doesn't listen to her parents anymore, she feels so lonely and no one loves her. Time passes quickly, Tony is growing up, he realized his sister pretend hates him. One day, They went to play with rabbits Kevin. They are argue with something, Kevin wants to hurt May, Tony protects his sister so he got hurt not May. May start realize what means family, she started feel the love from her mom, her dad and her younger brother Tony.  

My plan of Christmas Holiday.

My plan of Christmas Holiday.

I will go back to China in this Christmas Holiday. I will leave America on December nineteenth and arrive in China on December twenty-first. And I am thinking about what I'm going to do in China. This must be a big project. My detailed plan as follows.

Firstly, I want to eat some Chinese food, such as noodles, red-braised Pork and hot Pot. And I would like to eat my mother’s hand-made food. In my mind, my mother’s food is the most delicious one. Maybe I can learn some recipes from mother. In addition, if someone want to buy Chinese food, you can call me, and I will bring some for you. This is my phone number---703 624 4098. Secondly, I want to visit my best friend Yao who is working in HuiZhou city now. She is a charming and smart girl. Although she is five years older than me, we also have so many same hobbies.  I wish that we can eat lunch, savor dim sum during teatime and make some cakes together. Maybe I can live in her house for one night. I believe that I will have an amazing time with her.

Thirdly, I want to visit all my family members. I extremely miss them. I want to have a dinner and spend the New Year with them. I will tell all my American storied with them. In addition, I also need to study in math. I think that my sister will be a good math teacher for me, so I will go to find my sister to help with math.  I also want to keep company with my cousin for some days because he said that he would make some good cookies for me. Besides, they will give me lucky money for the Spring Festival. So I can buy some I like in America.

At the end, I want to give big hugs for every family members and friends. Also,I will stay at home with my parents and my brother as long as I can . We will have an enjoyable holiday!

Fishing

Last Thursday morning,I went fishing with my host family. We drove to a big park.There were many fishes there.

   We went to a small fishing pool. We took out two fishing pole and already have some fish food. I tied some fish food on the hook,then pulled the hook, let the fishing line go. The fish string flew out. It slammed into the water. We waited again and again. We tried again and again. We did not get any fishes. Then, we heard someone said, “No one get 

even one fish for now.” But we still tried hard.

    A few hours later, I finally caught a fish.It looks like so small. But when I saw there was a hole in its mouth. So I put it back to water.

    Until the afternoon, we have nothing to gain, but in the end, when I am ready to take the pole, the fast line of the line is not carefully checked to a fish, a small fish on the shore. We took a lot of effort to save it from the hook.And uncle said the fish was too small, so we put it back of the water.

  Although we are not hook the harvest fish,(and ducks mess）but we are still very happy！

Confidence

      As we know, "Failure is the mother of success." In my opinion, "Success is the baby of confidence."

      First of all, confidence can make us happier. Life is such like a wonderful song, with bright and colorful painting. If confidence is with us in our life, we'll find that life is really becomes much more interesting and richer. You may try the things you've never done, discuss your ideas with your classmates, and perform in a huge place with hundreds of people.

      Then, confidence makes us brave and courageous. If we lack of confidence in ourselves, how can we overcome difficulties when we meet them? If we have no confidence in ourselves, how can we succeed in developing ourselves in the future? Without confidence, nothing can be accomplished. So, if you want to success, you have to have confidence. Take a look at the photo I posted on line, a little cat can see her/himself as a lion, why couldn't you? Maybe you will become a real "lion" one day.

      Finally, I would like to use the following sentences as our mutual encouragement words: "If you think you can, you can.", "Nothing is impossible."

A Extremely Excellent Show

  Approximately 1 year is to be spent on preparing for this show.From the initial signing up as Tech crew, designing background, making up, to the last performance , we(Tech crew) paid attention to every detail meticulously even the dialogue, musical, and other effects.
  In the first three month of the year, indicator attend to let every actor played games(some great board games or improvisation) to be familiar with team members and division of work.
  Meanwhile, we set about composing music and helping Art team to design background.Fortunately for us, we got a IT teacher who was willing to support us,he has nature talents, skills, and interests of coding.He gave me a program which is comprises of variety of sound effect and accompanies.
 When we step to right place gradually, accelerating-process presented us with a major conundrum.In art 15 of the show,we needed to create a nightscape which rendered by glowworms glittering below,star above.It took long time to consider which material will achieve the desired effect.After a prolonged endeavor,we found the ornamental cups of instant noodles with flash light which perfectly compliance requirement, and also economical.
  Resolved the issue of stars,we were going to examined the background if they need us .The Art team already moved canvas into the stage while we arrived multi-media, this background was barely in embryo. On the other hand, we had to optimize the light effect, in other words, I supposed to remember corresponding code of each color,it's just a piece of cake which compare to making up.

 Although it's easy for Art team to facsimile primary character, but transform the painting to 3 dimension also contain high technology.
 During the rehearsal,we keep repeating the same thing over and over again since all of us are devoted to the best performance.Usually a improper gesture would cause repeating whole screen again.
 Time is fleeting, as three month of rehearsal drew to the close .We needed to face actual performance with confidence and passion. Those hours of rehearsing took possession of the long-anticipated moment.At the very end of the play,we invited headmaster's son to portray the daughter of Simba, to imply the sequel.(LionKing2)
  After the final performance, we ordered takeout and had a brief meeting, to summarize the superb show and great effort, eventually, this year's school play concluded with gifts and dinner.

September Saturday

This weekend I went to a Airshow in Maryland.Actually I don't want to go,but my guardian said the last Airshow is before three years ago.So I (was reluctant) to go to Maryland because It's so early .We arrived here on 10:00.And there are at least 1000 people stand near the airstrip. And they takes picnic cloth and folding stool to lay on the floor.They buy some hotdog for lunch,( then sit).I was sitting on the ground and holding up a large umbrella to cover my body prevent the sun from drying and stop move, sometimes saw the plan flying in the sky .Because we just wait for "Blue Bird's" plan show. [#%*^+~$€_£•]  After the plan's noise and the team's wonderful performance . I got home and I     got to bed.

Joining volleyball team

    I love any activities relating to moving; dancing, shopping, hiking and biking. However, I had never tried playing team sports. I believe a team sport has great opportunity to learn communicating and cooperating. My mom used to talk about how much fun she had playing volleyball when she was at her college and encouraged me to have a chance to learn the game. Fortunately, I found out the New School had a volleyball team!
It has been a week to participate in our volleyball team. I love it.  I heard that sport was very good for not only health but also friendship. I joined the team, expecting for making new friends. However, I was worried about my skills to play the sport. Because I did not want contribute myself to losing games. Fortunately, our team mates are so understanding that I I didn't feel discouraged. Their supports inspired me to practice more and sharpen my skills. I really want to be an excellent volleyball player, who will help the New School volleyball team to be the final winner.

Summer Camp in MVCDS

  Last month,before I go to the New School,I participated a summer camp which is in Ohio.The school is called Maumee Valley Day School.I was very glad that I can take part in the summer camp in MVCDS.And in this camp,I made many friends who are from different area in China.At first, I can learn the ESL class,this is very important that I can improve my English and also broaden my eyes. We also went to Ann Arbor to visit the university of Michigan which is one of the most excellent and famous college in America. When I in the Michigan, the fist impression on me was that how huge the school was . There were many different style building in the school.I think  in this university this building was characteristic. You can easily recognize what the buildings were use for. and I took a lot of pictures,it is very beautiful.  We spent three hours in the university of Michigan. We were very exciting and cheerful.
                                                           

 

   When we finished , we had some free time to go shopping and we had dinner in Ann Arbor , the food is delicious and wonderful.

 The day in MVCDS is significant and happy.I really thank you for the teacher.

Which is more important,career or love?

contention 1: the existence of the courtship is net detrimental to the career due to the fact that the case of love possesses a high probability for being a distraction

contention 2: as a matter of fact, the desire of love should be a catalyst for people's life only under the condition of their career is getting more and more concrete and stable, and the capability of harboring the burden and the obligation should be enhanced after the process of the construction of the career  

contention 3: pragmatically speaking, despite the fact that the desire of love is a human nature which should not be suppressed, people need to show more restraint when encountering the particular proposition which involves in the element of emotion since a career should be constructed by the realistic decisions not the swing of emotions.

  I am very glad to come  New School and I am glad to meet everyone. 
   I can do whatever i want to do in here，just the way you are.   
   I joined the school's volleyball team a few days ago.We have already played two games，we won the first game. I heard that last year our school volleyball team just won a few times. So, I am very happy that we can win the game. And I even scored. This is unbelievable. But for the second game, we lost. I think one of the reason is we are guest team. That place is not our home space. But we will practice more, and become stronger. We are confident to win the next game!

A "Wonderful" / Wonderful Day

        Let me tell you guys a story about what happened today, and why it was so "wonderful' and wonderful. 
        I woke up at 7 this morning, then my guardian told me I need to go to school at 8, but usually I go there at 40. For that reason, I arrived school at 8:07, and sat in the cold wind for 40 minutes. That's the "wonderful" part. However, we had two English test today, one of them is grammar, and the other one is vocab. Generally, I supposed to review the test yesterday, but I put all my review sheets in my binder and left them at school. Then the result is, I can't review anymore, and I may get a really bad grade. The good thing about arrived school early than usual is that I can  get more time to study. So I asked Anna to take pictures of all the papers and review them in that "extra" 40 minutes! I always know if I go to school at 8:40 as usual, I'll waste all the time to do other things instead of study. And by the way, I saw two little chipmunks this morning. I'm so happy about that is because I can't see them frequently. 
        As we planned, I finished my test, and the grade is really not that bad. While I was doing the test, I came out a paragraph about what I had thought  and found. I found that was pretty funny and easy to write. That was kind of the wonderful part too. 
        The math test in the afternoon was even much more easier than I thought at first. So I finished it very quickly and chat with Anna about all our grades for the last 20 minutes. 
        After the school ended, I walked to home as usual. Sounds like a pretty normal thing, right? But if you know I walked to home for 45 minutes through the scorching sun, then I've been knocked outside of my house, what do you think? After I found this desperate truth, I sat on the ladders in front of my house and did my homework. While I was doing that, many mosquitos came really closed to me, they made my arms itchy, and I can totally hear their sounds clearly. That was pretty annoying. 
        When I'm about to think this must be the worst thing that happened today, I found something really interesting and surprised me. It made all my bad feelings disappeared. Guess what is it? Right! I found a hummingbird! That was the first time I saw a real one instead of the videos or pictures on the internet! It was so small and pretty, just like the imaginations in my mind. Nothing can be more wonderful than that. 
          I must say today was just too miraculous, and amazing. What a "wonderful" and wonderful day!
         

Living with kid

  I'm now living with my aunt's family that has a 8 years old kid,my little cousin.I stayed alone in China when I was at his age so I have no idea about how to get on with him.That become a huge challenge ,a good experience for me.
  As I said earlier,my cousin is a 8 year old boy who is very lively,chatty and popular in school,he can get on well with his friends.He likes reading and sports as well.But according to his own words,he loves video games the best. Before I came to America,my aunt said he was hard to manage because of the games.
  At the first few weeks,I can talk with him about what his interested in.But later the problem appeared,he might think I do not have enough patience and I'm trying to fix our relation.I'm trying to be more patient to him and understand him,though it's hard to stay with a little kid ,it has a lot of interest.

Dress Parade

     In September 3rd, there is a grand dress parade in Beijing China for anniversary celebration of the victory of Anti-Fascist war. China has contributed a lot of works and sacrifice for fighting with Japan, one of the most powerful countries during the World War Two.
     I was not that interested in the Parade when I was young. But since I have read a wide range of some stories of Chinese government, I became more and more care about the Parades in my own country. Except the performance of the army, one of the special thing happened in this celebration is all of the three leaders (former presidents and current president) joint the show and watching it together. It has never happened before, one reason is that their relationship is no as good as people think.
    And during this parade, I heard a song that I have not heard officially for almost 1 year, my national anthem. Last time I listen to this song in public still being with my friends in middle school in China. If people says some songs have magic, I will not doubt that. National Anthem had affected me a lot, it brought me to the memory of life in China, and I got heavy homesick.

Time Travel

     "Pete! Don't go to outside! Today is not!" my mom said.
     "Why?" I asked.
     "No reason! Please stay in the home!" My mom looked like angry.
     "I want to play with my friends. I arrived China just 5 days from America!" I require her.
     "Don't say more. I don't allow you to go outside," my mom said.

     I was angry. At night, I went bed. Later the door of my room was opening. I saw the colorful light was shining. Then one old man came to my room, and asked me," Do you want to have time travel, boy?"

     "Time travel?" I was surprised. "Are you kidding me? How did you come to my room just now? Please go out!"
     "I am not cheating you. Please come down. You merely answer my question. If you answer that, I will disappear on your life. By the way, I am the man of the time," the old man said.
     I didn't believe that, and said, "OK, I really want to see how my mom gave birth to me."
     Then the old man smiled and waved his hands.
     "BOOM!"
     "Quickly! Hold on! The baby is coming!" I heard one person was so exciting. 10 minutes later, I feed cold and insecure, and I guess I came out from something. One man was holding me and watching me, and I was watching him, too. Then I was turned back by his hands.
     "He is so quiet," the man said.
     "Pa!" the man used his hand to beat my ass. "Pa!" the second beating. "Pa!" The third beating. I thought that is so hurt! And then I cried.
     2 hours later, the man held me to the bed. I saw one woman was on the bed. She looked so happy, but she was tired. When I was coming, she used all of power to open her eyes and to watch me. Her mouse's corner move up a little bit. I smell one familiar flavor from her.
     "Oh, finally. I love you, my son. You are so lovely. Fortunately, I have you, baby. Although I must pay huge money. (The Chinese parents must pay huge money for the second child)I love you, baby." Then my tear was coming.
     "BOOM!"
     "Welcome to the reality, my friend," one old man said.
     I rubbed my eyes. And I cannot see the woman. I only see one old man stand in my room. "Am I come back by you?" I asked.
      "No, you already found you heart. That why you came back. Hahaha!" The old man was laughing, "Don't scare your mom do strict things to you. She loves you! If you don't trust me. You can ask tomorrow." Then the old man disappeared.
     On the second day, I came to my mom's room. And asked her, "Mom, why did you let me stay in home yesterday?"
     "I want to see you, my baby. Because you only arrived China for 5 days. We already haven't seen each other for one year. I miss you so much," my mom said sadly.
     "I love you, mom!" I cried.

A trip to Mt. Jiri

 It was June and my homeroom teacher called all the boys together. Everyone was curious about why the teacher had called only the boys. The teacher, who was a former swimmer and our P.E teacher, told everyone about a camping trip to Mt. Jiri during summer vacation, which would be a camping expedition through the woods of Mt. Jiri. Everyone was interested in his idea.
After we arrived at Mt. Jiri, everybody was excited for our hike. After taking a picture, we started climbing. I was only thinking about how the air would feel in the mountains. Before climbing the mountain, I was expecting the nature itself, and the fresh air. But minutes later I realized that it was getting hot. The more I walked, the more I sweated. I felt so bad for myself for wearing jeans. I was in the middle of the mountain, but it felt like I was in the middle of the desert in Arizona.
When I finally reached the top. I was so moved by the scenery. The view made me think about my mom. We were above the clouds. The mountain seemed like an island floating. My body felt light as if I were able to float in the sky. However, my bag was still heavy.

Happy Summer

      Happy Summer

          I had a good time in the summer. I went to Seattle, Los Angeles, Mexico with my mom. Meeting my friends, eating the delicious food, enjoy the beach. Then I went back to China, my hometown Beijing, I miss my family so much! I went to Chengdu to visit Jacinda. Lu, Leslie, Qunnie, Jacinda and me, we hanging out together and we ate the most spicy hotpot in the world. I went to HongKong with my dad, I bought a lot of things with my dad, shopping is so much fun for me! Coming back from HongKong I went to DaiLian, I stayed one night, I hanging out with the girl who studyed in  New York now. She is an awesome pianist. Then, is time come back to America! The school stared, soooo sad, but I went to New York Ezoo music festival on the first weekend, is great! Now the happy summer, the end...

A Volunteer Day in China

I volunteered at a Reading Exhibition event in China. When I started the volunteer work, I felt it was extremely tiresome because my job was to serve as an elevator operator for all the audience. I was incredibly mad at my disappointing decision of volunteering at this event. I could not wait to leave the exhibition.

However, during lunchtime, some outgoing and friendly volunteers were sitting close to me, and they came to say “ Hello”. We became friends immediately. Having friends warmed my heart, and I became more optimistic. I started to make effort to serve the audience with smiles and make them feel more comfortable and welcomed. For the rest of the day, I smiled to all the audience and said “ Hi!” or “How are you?” Every now and then, my friends came to me and talked with me. We talked about our hobbies and shared our expectations prior to this event, our different roles at the event, as well as our gains from this experience. I felt that I was so right about signing up for this volunteer project.

When the Reading Exhibition ended, it was raining cats and dogs. We could not get out at all, so we started to hang out inside and read some books. We did not go home until the rain slowed down. We spent a lot quality and memorable time together.

After I got home, I started to appreciate and cherish my previous “tiresome” decision, and I had a better understanding of what my mother once told me, “Sometimes things might not always be satisfactory; however, they might bring another stunning surprise for you in the near future”.
